Sigulda is famous for its Gauja River valley and the natural beauty it holds, also known as Senleja in Latvian. Our hotel is located in the heart of the valley, surrounded by nature at the foot of Turaida Castle. 

Back in the Soviet era, this building served as a residential house, but it was later abandoned. Now, it has been completely renovated and transformed into a charming hotel, ready to welcome guests. The hotel offers 18 different types of rooms, ranging from budget-class rooms to luxury-class suites, catering to your preferences.

Main information for hotel guests:

  • Check-in from 4:00 PM
  • Check-out until 12:00 PM
  • Breakfast from 7:00 AM to 11:00 AM
  • Reservations can be canceled without penalty up to 48 hours prior to arrival.
  • For cancellations made later than 48 hours prior to arrival or in case of no-show, the hotel reserves the right to charge the cost of one night’s stay.

Payment Methods

Bank transfer (the accommodation invoice must be paid prior to check-in).

Cash in EUR

Coupon, travel voucher, gift voucher, or gift card for a specific service.

A gift card issued by a partner (e.g., Dāvanuserviss.lv, Lieliskadavana.lv, Gribuatpusties.lv, etc.) with a monetary value can be used for payments for services at the standard price

To check-in at the hotel, guests must present a valid passport, driver’s license, or identification card.

Reservations can be guaranteed by making a prepayment (no later than 24 hours before arrival).

If a guest does not arrive by 18:00, the hotel reserves the right to sell the room to another person (unless the guest has informed about the arrival time).

In the case of non-guaranteed reservations, on the day of arrival, the guest can choose from the available rooms in the hotel.

Guaranteed reservations can be canceled without penalty up to 48 hours in advance.

For the cancellation of a guaranteed reservation later than 48 hours before arrival or in case of no-show, the hotel reserves the right to charge a fee equivalent to one night’s stay.

Gift Cards

A gift card is a non-cash payment instrument that can be used for payment of services at Hotel Sigulda.

By purchasing a gift card, the buyer becomes a cardholder and acknowledges that they have familiarized themselves with these terms of card use, agree to them, and undertake to abide by them. When transferring the card to another person (as a gift, sale, etc.), the cardholder commits to informing this other person (the future cardholder) about these card distribution rules.

The gift card can be used once for payments for services received at Hotel Senleja up to its value. Upon making a payment with the gift card, it is returned to the administration.

The gift card cannot be used for payments for services reserved through other third-party sales channels (such as Booking.com, Davanuserviss.lv, Lieliskadavana, etc.)

The buyer of the gift card can use it together with other means of payment – by bank transfer or cash – if the total amount of selected services exceeds the value of the gift card.

The gift card cannot be exchanged for cash or receive its remaining balance. In case of loss, the card is not replaced.  A gift card that has expired can be renewed by extending its validity period.


Free parking is available in the hotel courtyard for guest vehicles.

Laundry Service

We offer high-quality and fast laundry washing and drying services.

Please inquire at the guest reception for service availability.

Guests are allowed to stay with pets, but it must be arranged in advance with the hotel administration. There is an additional fee of 10 EUR per day for the pet.

The guest assumes full material responsibility for any damage caused by the pet to the hotel inventory, as well as for the pet’s noise and disturbance of other hotel guests. A fine of up to 200 EUR may be imposed.


Smoking is prohibited in the hotel. A fine of 100 EUR per person applies for smoking in the rooms.

Internal Regulations

It is prohibited to disturb the peace of other guests with loud or inappropriate behavior. The hotel has designated quiet hours from 23:00 to 6:00.

For security reasons, visitors are not allowed to stay in the hotel after 23:00. The guest is fully responsible for the actions of their visitors.

Damaging the hotel’s inventory is prohibited. If any damage is noticed upon arrival, please inform the hotel administration to avoid misunderstandings.

Payment will be withheld from the guest for damages caused by their fault, according to the extent of the damage.  The hotel staff has the right to refuse service to a customer who is heavily intoxicated. In such cases, payment for reserved and paid services will not be refunded.

The hotel is not liable for the loss or damage of guests’ belongings left unattended.

If, after receiving confirmation of a reservation for accommodation services, it turns out that the hotel cannot provide the reserved room to the guest, the hotel must offer alternative accommodation of a similar standard at a nearby hotel without additional charge. The guest should be notified of the hotel change before arrival.
